BODY AND SOUL – Group show organized by Luca Leandri as an exchange between Russian artists and artists he works with. I participated with Another Space You Left Behind, acrylic on wood, 60cm diameter (2008). It expresses the concreteness of the empty space left by someone’s absence. (2015)

Biografia

Clarice Zdanski è artista, insegnante di tecniche artistiche, storica dell’arte, scrittrice e traduttrice. I suoi titoli accademiche includono un MA e un PhD in storia dell’arte (University of Chicago), un BFA in pittura e tecniche di stampa artistica (UNC-Greensboro), una laurea italiana in lingue straniere moderne (IULM-Feltre, Italy), e un diploma in musica (Conservatorio G. Cantelli, Novara, Italy). Le sue ricerche in storia dell’arte spaziano dal rinascimento italiano alla letteratura del viaggio del tardo ‘800, fino alle pratiche odierne nel fare arte e nell’insegnamento delle tecniche. Si è sempre occupata di come l’arte viene studiata e di come arte viene vissuta nella società. Artista poliedrica, ama sperimentare con diverse tecniche. Ha pubblicato su riviste accademici e siti web, e le sue opere si trovano in collezioni pubbliche e private in Europa e negli Stati Uniti. È attiva anche come musicista, facendo parte di varie organizzazioni ed ensemble a Milano e in Europa.

BIO

Clarice Zdanski is an artist, art educator, art historian, writer and translator. Her academic degrees include an MA and PhD in the History of Art (University of Chicago), a BFA in painting and printmaking (UNC-Greensboro), an Italian university degree in modern languages (IULM-Feltre, Italy), and a diploma in music (Conservatorio G. Cantelli, Novara, Italy). Her research work in art history, which ranges from the Italian Renaissance to art and travel in late nineteenth century Europe to current practices in art and art education, has always been concerned with how art is studied and its place in society. A multi-faceted artist, she loves to experiment in different media. Zdanski has published in scholarly journals and websites, and her art work is in private and public collections in Europe and the USA. She is also active as a musician, and belongs to various organizations and ensembles in Milan and Europe
